Designer - New Construction

We are looking for an EXPERIENCED New Construction Designer to join our team of talented, driven and highly creative individuals. THELIFESTYLEDCO® is expanding rapidly and we are looking for an addition who can bring a balanced and positive skill set to our close knit team. Our Design Team members are self-directed individuals, extremely detail oriented, have killer project management skills and a design eye to compliment! The right candidate is experienced and passionate about interior design, new builds, building materials and the technical requirements to make all of it happen and hit the ground running!

This position is ideal for someone who loves the technical side of luxury residential design and enjoys collaborating with architects, builders, trades, and clients.

Working under the creative direction of Founder & Principal Designer Kristen Forgione, you'll oversee the architectural and construction phases of residential projects while ensuring every detail aligns with THELIFESTYLEDCO®'s signature Organic Desert Living® aesthetic.

JOB DESCRIPTION, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Collaborate with clients, architects, builders, and trades.

• Develop tile elevations, cabinetry, ceiling details, built-ins, millwork, lighting layouts, and finish specifications.

• Read and interpret construction drawings.

• Create and manage construction specifications and documentation.

• Produce SketchUp models and renderings.

• Coordinate finish selections.

• Review shop drawings and submittals.

• Attend job site meetings.

• Coordinate with vendors and trades.

• Maintain schedules and communication through Asana.

• Assist with budgeting.

• Collaborate with the Interior Design team.

• Support installations and project completion.

• Represent THELIFESTYLEDCO®.

• Travel as required.

QUALIFICATIONS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• 4–5+ years of luxury residential construction design experience.

• Extensive knowledge of residential construction.

• Expert SketchUp or AutoCAD.

• Technical drawing and specification experience.

• Knowledge of cabinetry, millwork, stone, lighting, plumbing, and finish materials.

• Strong project management and communication skills.

• Asana experience is preferred.

• Microsoft Office and Google Workspace proficiency.
